Christophe Lemaitre won this Saturday afternoon with his club 4x100m Aix-les-Bains on the first day of the Coupe de France. In Parilly Park, a suburb of Lyon, he will add the 4x200m on Sunday, while his friend Renaud Lavillenie want to hoist the colors to perch Clermont. The sprinter said he was still “disappointed" in his sixth place (the fourth and 4x100m) Olympics, but this small country competition "is always nice and mostly a way to move on." So I said Hop!, we’re going back!’ But so far, it was light training. But, it will be really starting this Monday." And the real competition awaits with the indoor season. "I have not ruled out participation in European Championships indoor (60m, from 1 to 3 March in Gothenburg). We’ll see what shape I am after France Championships (16-17 February Aubière).” Before a summer where he will find his rythem back for the 100m and 200m, the World Championships in Moscow (10-18 August) to easily double, with four full days of recovery between the two distances. In the meantime, Lemaitre planned to do more training in nutrition/diet. ”Last year, I was still a student and semi-pro somehow. Now … I am more.” Indicating his full commitment to his sprinting career.
